Hi, Siru. I’m glad to give feedback on your paintings. I’d like to say I’m completely fascinated by the way you draw.
When I look at your drawings for talking colour and talking pattern, the most prominent feature is the harmony of various colour combinations. I can see intense red and yellow through your paintings and also bright blue and green. Other colours such as pink, violet, and brown make your painting stand out even more.
In addition, I love your bold drawing style and free arrangement of objects rather than drawing them straight. It not only makes you enjoy painting but also makes people more focused and reflect on your painting and the object.
Furthermore, I especially like that you painted the same object in different colors, only the part you wanted to emphasize without coloring all the parts. Because it also makes people focus on the object which you focused on. For example, one of your paintings, in particular, is drawn by pencil, and the contrast between the intense yellow line and red dotted line makes the painting look more interesting.
Lastly, I can see that your patterns were inspired by your talking colour drawings. It was interesting to find the connection between colour-themed drawings and patterns. Specifically, the freely placed garbage bags and black mark-making patterns caught my eye. The most interesting part is that the black marks around the garbage bag are made up of many incomplete squares in different sizes. Even if the lines are not perfectly straight. In my view, it will be even better when it becomes to actual textile with embroidery techniques. On the one hand, since the other repeated patterns are also made up of different colors, it doesn’t feel simple or boring at all. Overall, I could see that you have explored the colours and patterns deeply.
